Where do the funds go?
All funds raised through Tri-State Multiple Sclerosis Association’s Autumn Walks stay here locally in the tri-state area! The Tri-State Multiple Sclerosis Association is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization. All donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law. The funds are used to provide services free of charge such as support groups, educational programs, financial assistance, an MS certified nurse, a monthly newsletter, an MS library, social events and more!
Do I have to register in order to Walk?
Yes, we want to know if you have signed up to walk with us and support our cause! The good news is you don’t have to register until the day of the walk, but you can register here if you want to register in advance! There is no registration fee for the Autumn Walk. However, we ask every walker to make a personal donation and commit to raising funds in order to enhance the quality of life for individuals living with MS in the tri-state area. Do I need to register my children for Walk?
Yes, children should register. Parents/guardians can complete a registration form and sign the waiver on behalf of the child.
Does every walker get a T-shirt?
Every registered participant will receive a T-shirt after achieving the fundraising minimum of $50. You can pick up your t-shirts at the Autumn Walk registration desk.
Are pets, strollers, bicycles and skateboards allowed on walk day?
Of course you may bring strollers! All pets are prohibited per city ordinance 9.90.52. We do not allow bicycles or skateboards for safety concerns.
What happens if it rains?
The Autumn Walk will be held, rain or shine! However, in the case of severe weather, we will post notification of either a cancellation or postponement on our Facebook page and website.
Can I volunteer for the Autumn Walk?
YES!!! We need volunteers to help with set-up, clean-up, and registration! All interested volunteers should visit our volunteer page, or contact the office, for more information.
Where will photos from the Autumn Walk be posted?
Following the event, we will post Autumn Walk photos on our Photo Gallery page, as well as on our Facebook page.
Can I still donate to the Autumn Walk even though I can’t attend?
Absolutely! You can make an online donation at any point towards the Autumn Walks!
Is there an Autumn Walk flyer and brochure?
Yes! You can print off your copy of the Autumn Walk flyer here. Please share our flyer with family, friends, and on Facebook. Brochures can be printed from that link or picked up in the office!
